The series include letter copybooks, 1860-1902; incoming letters, 1860-1884; daybooks, 1864-1908; cashbooks, 1860-1903; payrolls, 1864-1908; rent books, 1897-1919. Certain series, such as shop letter books and check stub books have been sampled. Records of the Holyoke Machine Shop, 1860-1864, Castle Hill Farm, 1887-1888, and of the sale of coal, 1893-1912, constitute separate series.
